Juguetón, de fácil escucha y agradecido. Desde 2014, cuando
sonaran con su anterior álbum (“Nausea”) no teníamos pista alguna de Justin
Vallesteros y su proyecto personal, conocido como Craft Spells.
En Septiembre nos llegó un nuevo single en formato
7″ que lleva desde entonces en mi coche, mi teléfono, mi tablet y allá donde tenga
una playlist autofabricada (nada de Spotify, Deezer y/o vulgaridades
semejantes). “Our Park By Night” suena pulido, fresco, ligero, urbano. Con un
toque algo más funky esta vez, arrancando siempre desde el pop-rock
independiente, de su fuente original, pero sin dejar mellada la piel de la composición como otros tantos productores que tocan y retocan con efectos porcelana muchas canciones hasta dejarlas sin alma, sin personalidad.

en una reciente entrevista cuando hablaba del nuevo largo en el que se incluye
este brillante corte: «I genuinely
wanted to write the next album to help transcend the label of indie rock that
was put on my music. This was my youthful approach to my early style of
production where I never thought about a live band. ‘Our Park by Night’ was the
first to be finished after the last album Nausea and you can hear me slowly
putting the color back into the music. I’m getting back to being a producer
first before anything, It feels like an art project again and not so much of an
indie álbum”.
